I watched a lot of movies over the holiday weekend so I wanted added my reviews for them! * __ *
Also my Aerith shrine grindset continues... uploaded some more old sozai and artwork!! AND I found the link to an old Japanese webring for Aerith fans too, which is just a delight
Your Aerith shrine is so in-depth and passionate! O7 Can't wait for the meta analysis!! I have fond memories of playing the OG FF7 on PC several years ago.... believe it or not, I didn't even know about a certain famous / infamous major plot point going in. Fun to play and experience blind!
Also I know you'll probably write about it later in your other ships, but I also wanna know your thoughts on Zack lol
@amy thank you so much!! Wow, that must have been so fun to play blind, that's a special experience nowadays! A friend of mine played the OG blind a few years ago and it was such a joy to watch all the twists through her eyes. Lately I've been itching to write some Aerith meta so maybe I'll do that soon!! ♡♡
@amy as for Zack... lmao. I actually hadn't planned on writing a lot about Zack/Aerith since I didn't want to be mean, but the TL;DR is that while it's interesting that Aerith has an ex, how Zack and her relationship with him is conveyed in the various spinoff titles has many writing issues for me. It's nothing personal at all for fans of the character and ship (lord knows FFVII has a ship war problem)--
--but neither are for me! I'd be intrigued about exploring fandom depictions outside the context of the compilation though! (like I mentioned on my shrine, I'm not a fan of titles like CC, etc). Sorry for the rambling responses, like admittedly there's a lot I could say LOL but what do you think of him?? :o
will forever be in awe of your Aerith shrine ;; when i have the time i'm excited to sit down and read it in full, but even from a skim it's clear how much work and passion you've put into it, what a fantastic tribute!!
@beyondthesky you just made my day! Seriously, your kind remarks made my heart swell, thank you so much! Aerith deserves the very best, haha! ;u; There's a bunch I have planned for it, so I hope you enjoy what's in store!! ♡♡
@inkcaps / sarah, (to keep it brief lol) as for me Aerith > Tifa, so I've always preferred that pairing for Cloud over Tifa. I like Zack, but since I'm kind of a hopeless romantic I don't really like bittersweet pairings lol... So Cloud x Aerith it's been for me. Love triangles / OP3 pairings aren't my cup of tea. Cloud x Sephiroth is fun to read when I'm in the mood for it though lmao
Also while I like Zack, I did NOT like the game mechanics for CC. They suck. So annoying, especially in the original. Plus all of the missions ?!
Small diary entry up! I hope that wherever you are, you are staying cool and comfortable! ;w;
This makes me want to read the Twilight Princess manga +_+ Also, I understand. I’ve been feeling lethargic and not wanting to write as well. I wish Us both Luck
@mala there's definitely mixed reaction from fans and there are some aspects I don't care for, but the parts where it succeeds the manga just soars! The art is incredible as well which is always a perk too! I'm wishing us luck too though, and I'm sending you Good Writing Juice too (๑•̀ㅂ•́)و✧
I've heard the Twilight Princess manga mentioned before but wow this makes me want to read it as well. TP isn't one of my favorite games, but mainly due to the gameplay. I actually really like the story, so this sounds fantastic
@mutterbutter would love to hear your thoughts on it if you decide to read it! It takes some really fascinating approaches with the games themes!
i love your fashion logs, the descriptions always makes me imagine it all so nicely!! also red gingham >>>
@amivicky it's by the far the best in the series!! The gameplay loop is so addicting, and it has so much character... I love it!! I'll answer your question in two ways
@ amivicky 1. lately I've been playing through Pleasantview, one of the base game neighborhoods rotationally, and also giving it in a makeover!
@amivicky 2. *How* I'm playing it is another story! Because I'm on a Mac, I actually created a Windows partition through Bootcamp in order to play with all the packs. Afterwards I found some Links(tm) and installed the game files, and then added some mods that fixes the graphical issues. It takes some fiddling but isn't that hard!
@chey thank yoouuuuu, it really is! I need to start photographing my other clothes besides lolita so I can share them! * __ *
@tabi this is so sweet, thank you!! I'm happy my descriptions are able to convey things ; __ ; and red gingham is the BEST right?? Perfect for spring and summer!! ❀
I'm still working through replies to the messages people have left me over time, and I plan on archiving my 123guestbook too! Thank you so much to everybody who has left me notes over time, I treasure each of them! It seriously means a lot that people take the time to leave a message ; __ ; ♡♡
Added a link to my new guestbook and did some small updates to a few lolita pages ❀
a few months I guess? anything after January this year i always think is pretty new, although now i think about it, its already been six months since January :o
ohhh this one is subjective uhhhh i feel like anything under a month. a month is long enough to get the general idea of something without going in to much detail
i think it depends on how often i update and adding new pages/content, but i feel like the 2-4 months range is good for new esp major page additions. tbh i havent really thought about it :3c
this might be a lukewarm take but i'd consider a webpage still "new" if there's not a lot of content yet and lots of "wip" language around the site. if most of the links go to 404s or there just isn't a lot to explore yet, i'd still consider that a new site even if it was made a year ago - folks learn at their own pace, after all!
Thank you for the insight everyone, this is really helpful!! I would take my little "new" favicon off a link like. Two weeks after the page is created lmao, but I think that's far too soon! I'm gonna keep them up for a month or so for now!
Nothing major, just cleaning things up here and there. I added more old web fanart to my Aerith shrine--my stash still has a ways to go!
@amy RIGHT, they are!! Seeing fanart in those types of style make me super nostalgic... ; __ ; We Used To Be A Proper Country Indeed (kidding)
Anddddd my food log is up!! I think I'm going to add to some collages of what I ate while I was in New York City at some point, but I'm pleased with this so far!! Tell me what you think--and let me know if you want a recipe to anything too! ;w; ♡
the food log is such a good idea - the layout looks amazing too! all the different backgrounds look so good together~
The Father's Day Key Lime Pie makes an appearance! Nice!! The mojito with the pasta also looks amazing lmao
@jeith thank you for your kind words!! Figuring out the backgrounds took some wrestling but I'm happy with how it worked out! If you decide to make a food log then I'd love to see it! ;u; ♡
@amy couldn't have the food log without the legendary pie!! Mojitos are my favorite cocktail so I'm biased but it was an amazinggg pairing with the pesto honestly * __ * ♡♡
the key lime pie and the veggie pizza are my favorites! they look soooo good! :D
@xandra I wish you could come over so we can we share!! ; __ ; The key lime pie is a Cook's Illustrated recipe and was pretty easy to make if you want to take a stab at it! :D ♡
wahhhhh your food log page is so cute, sarah!! i'm looking forward to seeing all the yummy stuff you put on there ;w;
@kiley you're so sweet, thank you!! I hope you enjoy whatever I share next! ;u; ♡
@chey IT WAS TO DIE FOR HONESTLY and easy to make as well if you're interested in trying it!! ♡♡
New diary entry about a bunch of different things. I'm also working on an update for my photo album!
I feel your mood at incompletely archived sites on the Wayback machine. I'm so bummed when going to a graphic site that's full of broken links. :( That's someone's hard work now lost to time
@divergentrays it's a huge bummer! You have to feel for the artists, coders, and everyone/everything was involved in making a website! Imagine that person wanting to look back on it years later, you know? ; __ ;
love the layout and graphic styles of your site :D
@tinypaws you're so sweet, thank you!! Your puppy is too cute ;w;
@ inkcaps youre very welcome. cant wait to see what you add next! and thank you as well! :D - i think she knows it too lol she makes me laugh when she poses for the camera when i dont even have a camera with me
totally with you on your sentiments about archived sites - it really is a rush to go back and find old sites. one of my favorite activities to do online! while I wish all of a site was archived, it's nice to see that some remnant of it still exists. Your Aerith shrine is sooo cute as well!
@amy it's been one of my favorite things to do lately as well! Even if a site isn't archived in its entirely, it's still nice to see the pieces that still do. And thank you for your words about my Aerith shrine, it's my pride and joy haha!! ;u; ♡
