Your thoughts on Drew Karpyshyn's Revan novel were interesting to read. I remember trying to read it a few times and always failing to get through it. Which was disappointing - his Darth Bane: Path of Destruction novel is one that I've re-read more times than I can count. Then again, that one's an average novel that I used to be obsessed with.
that's because his book fuckin sucks and you can tell he makes every interesting character in KotOR considerably worse, he reduces bastilla to basically just "revan's wife" and his sexism is always persistent. i bought Path of Destruction as well so hopefully i like that one more
i love the assassins creed books but im not gonna claim that they are of high quality haha
Not really an "adaptation" as much as a prequel, but Ghosts of Ascalon is the first of set of 3 novels set before the events of the MMO Guild Wars 2, which I was an ardent player of. Unfortunately I can't really recommend the 2nd and 3rd installments (all entirely different stories, 2nd is especially bad and was outsourced to some non-GW2 writer).
this is so interesting. I had been lucky enough to work with them in person (between 2015-2017). the leadership was absolutely terrible, but they had a flowery and compelling online presence that painted a completely opposite picture. it was a trip, this is a trip.
if you hunt down my email on my about me page i'd love to know more about that!
now i can be less shitty about responding to peoples emails
i miss those. good days.
