Question: is it my desire to work remotely or my debaucherous lifestyle (or my remote debauchery?) the sticking point for employers?
Can be worse, if you then: a) bore your partner with stories from Reddit; b) despair at the limp lettuce approach to life of redditors who were surely fed Netflix through the umbilical cord aghhh
I have to say I do love the average Neocities site. I'll take someone's boring and real life over self-promotion with Amazon affiliate links anyday :)
It always surprises me how young the average Neocities user is. At least they have a (relatively) healthy place to vent.
Quotes from Ursula le Guin pop up everywhere. She is good at taking apart things that we take for granted even with all our progressive views. My favourite is her quote re banality of evil/boredom of pain (from Omelas).
My only touchpoint with Earthsea is a 2006 Hayao Miyazaki adaptation called "Tales from Earthsea". I enjoyed the film a lot. I dunno how to talk about it without spoilers besides saying it has a lot of dreamlike body horror. I don't know how it stacks up against the books, but maybe I should give them a try!
Also having this problem — thanks for the tip! Do you know of a workaround or is it just broken?
Thanks, Pret! I saw that neo had dropped ".html" on pages but didn't make the connection that it might have thrown a wrench into htmlcommentbox. I guess going forward the comments on new posts will work as they should, and the old stuff is lost to the hot, burning furnace of time
If that’s the case, one solution could be to copy the comments to those pages manually. Depends on how much you want it I guess
More on this. I checked the Comment box website again and found there is a way to transfer comments to a new URL. Preternaturally was right. I chose a Terry Pratchett review that had a comment and transferred it from the old URL with the .html to the same URL without it and my comments appeared back on the page immediately. So, that's the solution!
THANKS for this!
